In 1991 he started with a small home-based IT Education center with very limited resources of simply two computers. In a very short span of time with his sole efforts Mr. Maulik Patel expanded the business to further activities in the areas of data processing in Share Issues and Bank Reconciliation providing services to the corporate customers like Bank of Baroda and Punjab National Bank.

Mr. Patel thereafter gradually diversified to trading business in computer hardware, computer assembling and networking. His graduation in the field of Instrumentation helped him in doing computer hardware business efficiently whereas his diligent, cheerful and generous nature placed him amongst the dynamic, creative, and progressive businessmen in the region in a short time. By 1995 Mr. Maulik Patel had further expanded his business in the area of Computer Media, Computer Consumables, Computer Accessories and Pre-printed Computer Stationery in various parts of Gujarat.

‘Complete satisfaction is the sign of saturation’. This is what Mr. Maulik Patel believes in. Thus he was never satisfied even with the astonishing growth in his business. As the young entrepreneur had much more expectations from his life, Mr. Patel had named his venture as “APEXA”, which in the local language means ‘the Expectation’

At the next stage, Mr. Maulik’s Apexa considered doing something even more exciting, and challenging by switcheing over to IT education and training business. After scrutinizing all the options Mr. Maulik Patel, as per his strategy chose to be with the best and decided to become a business partner of NIIT Limited, one of the leading global IT education and Training organization. He started an IT education center of NIIT Limited at Gandhinagar, one of the most challenging places for doing this business at that time as identified by NIIT Limited based a survey conducted in Gujarat.

Irrespective of the circumstances at NIIT Gandhinagar center under the able leadership of Mr. Maulik Patel, Apexa achieved overwhelming success in the first couple of years of establishment. Thanks to the proficient leadership of Mr. Patel and the dedicated and concentrated efforts of his team. His Centre-Head Mr. M. T. Kazi got awarded by NIIT Limited for the excellent performance and Mr. Maulik Patel was placed among the best Business Partners of NIIT Limited. His center obtained the status of being Best center of Gujarat.

Inspired with the tremendous success and the extensive experience, the Apexa team was now poised to explore greater heights.

In 1997 under the same banner of Apexa, the NIIT Limited’s IT business entered another challenging location of Baroda city in the other part of Gujarat. NIIT Limited had closed its IT Education centre running in Baroda earlier. Mr. Maulik Patel was the only Business Partner of NIIT Limited in Gujarat who accepted the challenge of re-building the NIIT image in Baroda. There is no need to state that the task was once again performed most efficiently.

The Apexa team acting as the Master Franchisee of NIIT Limited established a network of over 30 Sub-franchisees, also representing NIIT Limited for its newer venture, the NIIT LEDA Family Clubs catering to the IT educational needs of the entire family including the kids.

To initiate another new venture, Mr. Maulik Patel appointed experts to set up a Software Development center of his own. Another company named Nem.con Genesis Pvt. Ltd. was formed to look after the Software Development business. His friend Mr. Deepak Patel introduced him to Mr. Jihad Atallah of Atalla Technologies, USA. They joined hands with Mr. Maulik Patel by giving him software development projects from USA. It is true that when the man proposes with loyal hope and hard inputs God disposes in form of striking success. Mr. Deepak Patel and Mr. Jihad were astonished to see Mr. Maulik Patel and his team performing the complicated Software Development tasks with great perfection and enormous speed. They appreciated the work and so did their customers in USA.

Side by side the Apexa group joined hands with another organization called Tol Controls Pvt. Ltd. for development and supplies in the area of electronic controls, weighing machines and customized Automated Milk Collection System (AMCS) for the Dairy Industries in various parts of the country.

With a circle of business alliances and an increased quest for service, Mr. Maulik Patel, went into one more venture of providing manpower to the corporate sectors. One more firm came into existence, which was this time rightly named as: “Nem.con Grandeur Private Limited. Under this project, the Apexa group established 18 hubs to cater to the requirement of Data Processing and planning for 54 towns in Gujarat for the customer like Relience Info-com. The Apexa group has placed more than 1000 people in this sector by now.

The latest venture of Apexa group is even more exciting and challenging. The group has initiated in the field of development and supply of the Disk-less nodes called “Smart-Stations”, based on one of the most advanced Thin Client technology in the field of computer networking. The project is achieving overwhelming success at the same time undergoing extensive Research & Development for further strengthening of the product.
